ENSURE A PROPER BIKE FIT
5 Steps to Stages Fit
Set handlebar and seat fore/aft adjustments to neutral “0”. Tighten dials.
Set seat FitLoc to correct height. Use hip bone (iliac crest) as a landmark.
Set handlebar FitLoc to correct height even with or above seat height.
Get on the bike and pedal for a minute. Assess seat and handlebar height.
Make any needed adjustments and ensure that dials and FitLocs are all locked.
HOW TO USE THE SPRINTSHIFT
Make instantaneous macro-level resistance changes without incessantly turning a dial.
Unique three-stage lever and custom workload settings allow indoor cyclists instant control.
Perfect for HIIT and interval based workouts, you can add or drop resistance quickly and easily, without sacrificing custom micro-adjustments.
HOW TO USE THE FITLOC LEVER
HOW TO MAKE FORE/AFT ADJUSTMENTS
Using the StagesFit method, dial in the ideal FitLoc™-activated height adjustment and your custom fore/aft adjustments on both the saddle and handlebars.
GETTING SET UP
The SprintShift has 3 positions: left, middle and right, where left is least resistance and right is more resistance.
Think of the SprintShift lever as the large chain ring on an outdoor bike, useful for bigger adjustments.
The SprintShift level vary, depending on your resistance starting point, as determined by turning the knob.
Try a High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workout to get to know your SprintShift, quickly moving between the left position for easy recovery intervals and the right position for short high resistance intervals.
GET TO KNOW YOUR SPRINTSHIFT
There are two ways to change the resistance on your Stages SC2 bike: rotating the resistance knob for small adjustments, or moving the SprintShift lever for large adjustments.

PEDALS AND COMPATIBLE FOOTWEAR
The SC2 pedals are compatible with SPD cleats and come with toe cages to be used with any gym shoe.
While there are two versions of the SPD cleat from Shimano, we recommend the SM-SH56 model (multi-directional exit) for use with all Stages Indoor Cycling pedals. Both models are compatible, but have found better success and less maintenance needed when the SM-SH56 is being used.
If you need to adjust the cleat tension or make toe clip adjustments, click here for instructions.
